A New Pastor's Responsibility

After 25 years, the founding pastor of our church retired. His replacement at the beginning of 2025 was much younger and very energetic. It has been a great fit for our church. We have experienced extraordinary growth. As you can imagine, with all the positive come concerns. This is our pastor's first, full leadership role. So, with a church attendance of over 1,500 and growing each Sunday in a building built for far less...there are quite a number of challenges. So, I gave my pastor a challenge coin just as a reminder that no matter what, someone was always thinking and praying for him and his leadership. I was surprised at how appreciative he was and the enthusiasm with which he said he would accept the gift and sentiment.
